Catherine M. "Freda" Miller, 80, of Butler died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 14, 1928, in Butler, the daughter of the late Harry Isaac Culbertson and the late Edna Martha (Hays) Culbertson.

She was a member of North Street Christian Church.

She was a former school crossing guard. She also was a nurse's aide for St. John Health Center of Mars and Graham Boarding Home.

Surviving are three sons and their spouses, Richard L. and Beverly Miller, Floyd R. and Regina Miller and Paul D. and Denise Miller, all of Butler; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Raymond Miller, who died Sept. 29, 1971; two sons; a sister; and a brother.
