Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Feb. 19 — Cheryl B. Binstock, 72, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor communications with 911 following a Jan. 24 incident. Police said Binstock called the police nonemergency number 87 times.
Feb. 28 — Paul Jennings Simpkins, 45, of Pittsburgh, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of tampering with evidence, false identification to law enforcement and drug paraphernalia possession following a Feb. 28 incident. Police said Simpkins provided a false name, had a hypodermic needle and attempted to deceive police.
Feb. 23 — Keyon David Franklin, 21, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct and harassment following a Feb. 11 incident. Police said Franklin continually banged on a neighbor’s windows.
Feb. 23 — Dante Patrick Franklin, 22, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct and harassment following a Feb. 11 incident. Police said Franklin continually banged on a neighbor’s windows.
Feb. 25 — William Frederick, 58, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a Feb. 25 incident. Police said Frederick grabbed a woman by the throat and slammed her into the ground.
Feb. 18 — Cody Alan Bertres, 39, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 29 traffic stop. Police said Bertres tested positive for methadone.
Feb. 18 — Michelle Antionette Crawford, 39, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 26 incident. Police said Crawford had three glass crack pipes and one empty stamp bag.
Feb. 19 — Jase William Charlton, 29, of Somerset, was charged with felony theft following a May 4 incident. Police said Charlton stole a motorcycle and other items from a home.
Feb. 23 — Heidi Marie Bigger, 25, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor controlled substance possession following a Feb. 23 incident. Police said Bigger had methamphetamine.
Feb. 20 — Jackie Keally, 39, of Cranberry Township, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and disorderly conduct following a Jan. 17 incident. Police said Keally grabbed a juvenile by the hair and punched her in the face.
Feb. 20 — Karen E. Kean, 69, of New Kensington, was charged with misdemeanor trespass following a Feb. 11 incident. Police said Kean was in an area she had been ordered to leave.
Feb. 20 — Lamarion Hashawn Brooks, 19, of Monroeville, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a Feb. 16 incident. Police said Brooks punched a woman in the chest, grabbed a man’s neck, threw him to the ground and punched him three times.
Feb. 20 — Lynyrd Guy Dayton, 47, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 21 crash. Police said Dayton had a blood alcohol content of 0.345%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 26 — Christopher M. Friedman, 42, of Zelienople, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 22 crash. Police said Friedman showed signs of impairment and had four glass smoking pipes, a Chore Boy and a 28-gram bag of medical marijuana.
Feb. 27 — Keli Lynn Jerome, 47, of Zelienople, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Feb. 20 crash. Police said Jerome had a blood alcohol content of 0.178%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 23 — James Lowery Goehring, 54, of Harmony, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Feb. 14 crash. Police said Goehring had a blood alcohol content of 0.15%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 12 — Emma Sue Scott, 53, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of failing to keep animals confined to the premises of the owner following a Feb. 7 incident in Butler. Police said Scott’s three dogs were running loose in the area.
Feb. 27 — Emma Sue Scott, 53, of Butler, was charged with four misdemeanor counts of failing to keep animals confined to the premises of the owner following a Feb. 20 incident in Butler. Police said Scott’s three dogs were running loose in the area.
Feb. 18 — Robert Stanley Grubbs, 44, of Prospect, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Jan. 24 incident in Brady Township. Police said Grubbs had a blood alcohol content of 0.149%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 20 — Patrick Edward Sweeney, 53, of Mars, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 30 traffic stop in Adams Township. Police said Sweeney had a blood alcohol content of 0.099%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 20 — Amy Lynn Druzak, 46, of Mars, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 16 traffic stop in Adams Township. Police said Druzak had a blood alcohol content of 0.108%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 20 — Matthew David Lewis, 24, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Feb. 8 crash in Evans City. Police said Lewis had a blood alcohol content of 0.202%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Feb. 20 — Diana Christine Argotti, 46, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Feb. 12 incident in Forward Township. Police said Argotti showed signs of impairment.
