Fenelton man charged with statutory assault
Charges have been filed against a Fenelton man who is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old juvenile in October 2024.
Gerard A. Slupe, 57, has been charged with felony statutory sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault of a person under 16 and misdemeanor corruption of minors and selling or furnishing liquor to a minor.
According to a police affidavit, the accuser — who was then 15 years old — told police during a forensic interview in December 2024 she was staying with a friend at a house in Donegal Township during the time of the alleged assault and Slupe was on the premises at the time. She told police Slupe watched pornography on a television set and drank alcohol with her and her friend.
She went on to tell police, according to the affidavit, that he took her to a bar, which police later identified as the County Line Tavern in Clearfield Township, and the two drank there.
According to the affidavit, after the two returned to the Donegal Township residence, Slupe allegedly put his hands down the accuser’s pants while the two were sitting on a couch. He allegedly went on to pull down her pants and had intercourse with her.
Slupe’s preliminary arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. in front of District Judge Lewis D. Stoughton.
