BUTLER TWP — The BC3 Education Foundation awarded three Butler County Community College students with $1,000 EdgeMarc Natural Gas/Science and Technology Scholarships for the fall 2015 semester.

The scholarship was made possible by an $8,000 gift from EdgeMarc Energy Holdings to students interested in pursuing careers in energy production, technology, and related fields.

Nathan Huey, an engineering major, Julia Baxter, an engineering technology major, and Kirk Guidotti, a chemistry major, each received the $1,000 scholarships.

Scholarships will be awarded again next fall.

Recipients must be from Moniteau, Karns City, or Butler high schools and enrolled in the energy technology workplace certificate program or any program in the Science and Technology Division at BC3.
