Clair F. Bailey, 94, of Harrisville, (Marion Township, Butler County) passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at AHN Grove City, following a one-day illness.

Clair was born on March 20, 1931, on his family farm in Marion Township, Butler County, where he still lived, to Merle W. and Bessie Elizabeth (Rihel) Bailey.

He married Betty L. Whitesell on April 17, 1954. She preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2019.

Clair was a longtime member of West Unity Community Church.

He served as a Marion Township supervisor for 20 years.

Clair retired from PennDOT, where he was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years. Also, he was a self-employed farmer most of his life.

Clair is survived by three sons, Gary D. Bailey, of Harrisville, Richard L. (Amy) Bailey, of Boyers, and John W. Bailey, of Harrisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah A. Bailey.

BAILEY — Visitation hours for Clair F. Bailey, who died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Boyd Smith, pastor of West Unity Community Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery.
