Edna M. Gibson
Edna M. Riegner Gibson of Reserve Township, Allegheny County, died Saturday.
Born on Pittsburgh's North Side, Aug. 2, 1919, she was the daughter of Edward F. and Anna E. Schreiber Riegner. She was the sister of the late Ruth C. Riegner Sojka.
Edna graduated from Perry High School.
Edna was a local entertainer who sang with local dance bands and also had radio programs on WWSW under the professional name "Billie Leigh."
Edna retired in 1973 from Sears Roebuck & Co. where she was employed for 31 years.
In April 1955, Edna married Harry L. Gibson of Brackenridge. The family consisted of Harry's three children by a previous marriage, the late Thomas Gibson, U.S. Air Force, and a daughter, Susan Everette, and a son, Joseph Gibson, both of Butler.
Surviving Edna is her husband and two children, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
