ADAMS TWP — At its meeting on Monday night, Aug. 24, the board of supervisors granted final land development approval to Flynn Tire & Auto for a proposed new tire and auto service shop on Aster Way.

Flynn Tire was previously granted a conditional use permit by the board of supervisors at its meeting on June 22.

According to Brian Almeter of the consulting firm Fahringer, McCarty & Grey, the proposed Flynn Tire location will be an 8,000-square-foot building with 12 service bays and 43 parking spaces. The site of the proposed shop is located on a 1.32-acre parcel of land adjacent to a Shell gas station. Plans for the shop call for a direct parking lot connection to the station.

Joe Flynn, president of Flynn’s Tire, attended Monday night’s meeting and told supervisors he estimates the new location would open in the middle of 2027.

“I would love to do it early next year, but it’ll probably be mid-next year,” Flynn said. “Maybe sometime in the summer.”
