Reeseman

Thomas Oliver Reeseman, 87 of Slippery Rock, Mercer Township, passed away at his residence on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.

Tom was born in Altoona, Blair County, on April 18, 1938.

Tom married the former Karen McIntire who preceded him in death in 1972. He later married the former Merle McNutt on Feb. 16, 1974. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2022.

Tom was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was of the Protestant faith.

Tom was a truck driver, retiring in March of 2000. He last drove for Ward Trucking in Grove City. He enjoyed golfing and hunting.

Survivors include son, Timothy W. (Heather) Reeseman, of Slippery Rock; daughters, Tammy M. Lanzilatti, of Mercer, and Elizabeth J. (Kevin) Mershimer, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Harriett Brooks, of Altoona; half brother, Robert L. Hollen, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Tessa Reeseman, Hailey and Nicole Lanzilatti and Annette, Jerod and Nolan Mershimer; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Mae Reeseman; daughter, Sharon Reeseman, in 1987; sisters, Betty Mock and Peggy Beck; and half brother, Andrew Hollen.

REESEMAN — The family of Thomas Oliver Reeseman, who died Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, and then from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be observed at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home, led by Pastor Jeff Jones.

Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville.
