Anna C. 'Kay' Worst

Anna C. "Kay" Worst, 90, of Evans City died Tuesday at the Lowrie House, Butler.

Born May 1, 1918, in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Becker Miller.

Mrs. Worst was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.

She was a former 4-H leader and enjoyed canning, cooking and baking to exhibit at the Big Butler Fair and the Butler Farm Show. She also liked to bowl and play cards.

She is survived by three sons, Harold F. "Bussie" Worst and his wife, Ruth, of Enon Valley, Ronald R. Worst of New Bern, N.C., and Paul F. Worst and his wife, Maria, of Butler; four daughters, Virginia M. Hall and her husband, Orlo, of Portersville, Clara A. Greene and her husband, Ron, of Fenelton, Bernadette G. Magill and her husband, Larry, of Evans City and Marian N. McFarland and her husband, Bill, of West Sunbury; 24 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Worst, in 2004; her stepmother, Mary Tewes; a brother; and a stepsister.

<B>WORST</B> — Friends of Anna C. "Kay" Worst, who died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 417 E. Main St., Evans City. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 100 W.
