Grace L. Measel, 88, of Boyers died at 5:50 a.m. Friday at the Caring Place in Franklin.

Born Dec. 10, 1919, in Franklin Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of John Bunyan McGinnis and Mary Ellen Atwood McGinnis.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She retired from the housekeeping department at Butler Memorial Hospital in 1982.

Surviving are four daughters, Barb Wood and her husband, John, of Corry, Stella Dobritz of New Castle, Grace Kittridge and her husband, Paul, of Spokane, Wash., and Lois McClung and her husband, Warren, of Boyers; two sons, Lewis Measel Jr. and his wife, Doreen, of Erie, and Charles Measel and his wife, Amanda, of Outlook, Wash.; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Measel Sr., who died May 19, 1979; a daughter, Rebecca Gray, who died June 26, 1990; one great-grandson; five sisters; and two brothers.

<B>MEASEL</B> — Friends of Grace L. Measel, who died Friday, June 20, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Barnhouse of Slippery Rock Baptist Church officiating.Interment will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Connoquenessing.Information is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
