Dale A. Hilliard, 82, of Sarver, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at his residence.

Dale was born in Sarver on Nov. 1, 1943, a son of the late Kenneth C. and Margaret G. (Beck) Hilliard.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Margaret (Lyczak) Hilliard, whom he married Aug. 15, 1987.

Dale was a 1961 graduate of Freeport High School and later attended Penn Tech, earning a degree in computer technology. He was employed by IBM as a computer technician for 30 years before his retirement.

He was a member of the Oliver Collectors Association and the Fort Pitt Hi-Railers train group of Western Pennsylvania. Dale enjoyed snowmobiling, farming and tractor pulls.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert (Pamela) Hilliard, of Hookstown, Wendy (Bill Hindman) Hite, of Emlenton, and Tracey Manko, of Pittsburgh.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rachel Hilliard, Stephanie (John) O'Broin, Jacob Hilliard, Matthew (Samantha) Hite, Sara Hite, Nicole (Aaron) Peterson, Camryn Manko and Brenna Manko; stepgrandchildren, Abby Hindman and Allison Hindman; three great-grandchildren, Hadley Hite, Hudsyn Hite and Haven Hite; and cousin, Glenn (Judy) Bowser, of Sarver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hilliard.

HILLIARD — Friends of Dale A. Hilliard, who died Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the funeral home.

Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
