Butler wrestlers pin 6 in victory
Butler recorded six pins — including one in overtime — on its way to a season-opening 52-17 wrestling win Saturday at Mt. Lebanon.
The Golden Tornado's Clayton Dressler won by pin-fall 24 seconds into overtime at 145 pounds. Other Butler pins were scored by Kelley Schaukowitsch at 113 pounds, Domenic Vivirito at 138, Cade Savochka at 152, Steven Green at 160 and Jake Pomykata at heavyweight.
Butler hosts West Allegheny at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Golden Tornado will host their Junior High Duals at noon Saturday in the high school gym. That will be followed by varsity dual meets against Beaver and Gateway at 5 p.m., also in the high school gym.

Edie Sawyer broke her own school record in the 100-yard breaststroke — swimming the event in 1 minute, 4.43 seconds — as Seneca Valley won a pair of meets Saturday at Upper St. Clair.The Raider boys defeated Upper St. Clair 100-85 and Canon-McMillan 136-46. The girls defeated USC 101-84 and Canon-McMillan 153-25.Seneca Valley set nine pool records on the day. On the boys side, Daniel Simoes broke the mark in the 50 freestyle, Kevin Donaldson in the 100 and 200 freestyle, Haihan Xu in the 500 free. The boys 200 free relay of Simoes, Frankie Walton, Zach Lozowski and Donaldson, and the 400 free relay unit of Donaldson, Gavin Blazer, Simoes and Xu set pool marks.On the girls side, Sawyer set the 100 breaststroke record and Kendall Craig the 200 individual medley.
