Jocelyn R. Howard-Sinopoli of Butler has been elected to the board of Insurance Agents & Brokers, a statewide association of independent insurance agents.
Howard-Sinopoli is president of the C.W. Howard Insurance Agency in Butler. She has licenses in property, casualty, life and health insurance.
“We are pleased to have someone with Jocelyn's experience and knowledge on the board,” said Tim Burris, chairman of Insurance Agents & Brokers.
PITTSBURGH — Ian Edwards of Cranberry Township is the new director of the Duquesne University Counseling Center.A licensed psychologist, Edwards been on staff at the counseling center since he was a post-doctoral resident in 2006. He has served as assistant director/training coordinator since 2008.Edwards earned his master's degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Duquesne. He has also taught as an adjunct professor in psychology and in the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement.
JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries elected six new members to its board of directors at its annual meeting Nov. 14.Each board member serves a three-year term.There are 18 board members as part of the governing body that represents 36 Missouri Synod Lutheran churches in the Western Pennsylvania.The new members are: Dan Driscoll, St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot; Paul Rehkopf, Calvary Lutheran Church, Murrysville; Beth Koegler, St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot; Rev. Jamison Hardy, Peace Lutheran Church, McMurray; Rev. David Weeks, Calvary Lutheran Church, Murrysville; and Sandy Marcevecchio, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, South Hills.Twenty-three churches were represented and a total of 105 delegates, pastors and staff members were at the meeting.
CRANBERRY TWP — Westinghouse Electric Co. has announced Kenneth Balkey, a consulting engineer in its Engineering Services business segment, has been appointed senior vice president-elect of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Council on Standards and Certification for the term of June 2011 to June 2014.
