Yes, virginia, the american community survey is real!!!!

Upon receiving notice this survey was coming i was curious as to what is was all about and why i was picked. I waited and sure enough the american community survey came. I was appauled, the questions, more intrusive than i could have even imagined, scared me into thinking this was sum kind of scam.

I checked online and from the united states government census bureau it came.

I can not believe the questions i was asked, stuff like how many people live here, how old are they, i could believe.

What i could not believe was the rest:

The us government wants to know not only my name, race, and sex and if i live with someone, their names sexes and races! The us government wants to know the amount of my utility bills and the amount of my mortgage and/ or second mortages, for the month and for the year! The united states government, through this survey wants to know how many bedrooms i have, if my toliet is a flushie, and do i have a sink with faucets. The united states government wants to know, not only where, when and if i go to work,what i do at work,but also how i get to work and what time i go to work, even if i was on vacation last week!!!!! The us government wants to know what my eduction level is, what languages i speak other than english. The united states government wants to know if i am curently covered by health insurance and where and how i am insured. The united states government, the census bureau to be exact, also wants to know if i can dress myself and that i can still get around to shop and visit the doctor so i can use my health insurance. Not only does the united states census bureau want to know my marital status but also when and how many times it has changed. The united states census bureau also wants to be sure i can cover my utility bills and mortgages in the american survey. There were questions about income, all about income, wages, salary, commissions, bonuses, tips from all jobs, any income from businesses including proprietorships and partnerships, interest didvidends, net rental income, royalty income or income from estates and trusts, social security or railroad retirement, supplemental security income, any public assistance or welfare payments from state or local welfare office, retirement, survivor or disablity pensions, or any other sources of income regularly received such as va, unemployment, child support, alimony and of course write down the amounts for the year and total it up for us please!!!

To me this is a violation of my privacy, according to the bill of rights, amendment iv, the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

i was under this illusion, as many americans are, that they have the right against unreasonable searches and seizures, but not according to title 13. If i do not respond to this survey of my private matters from the us government i can be fined!!!

I believe the census bureau has gone way overboard collecting information to see how hoseholds may have changed in the guise, of public development intending to help the communities of the average citizen.

My questions are: why are not the united states citizens standing up for their first amendments rights and protesting this abomination!!!! Why are not the united states citizens questioning the use of this information, let alone the collection of it? Why have so many unitied states citizens not heard of this survey and the laws that were passed to make it legal? We are fighting a war overseas, but we are loosing the war on freedom in the untied states!!! When, oh when did we loose our american spirit?
