New county office building on agenda
The Butler County commissioners on Wednesday may seek bids for the construction of a new office building on Jackson Street adjacent to the government center.
The commissioners are set to discuss the issue at Monday’s agenda-setting meeting, which starts at 9:30 a.m. in the fifth floor meeting room of the government center on Diamond Street.
The new government center annex, which has an estimated $11.5 million price tag, would be four levels, including a garage on the bottom.
County Human Services, including Children and Youth Services, would be housed in the new building.
