I'd like to take the opportunity to "publically" apologize for my comments regarding Matt's "Church and State" post. My comments were purely personal and served only as a "spurned" wife's malicious attack. What can I say, divorce does crazy things to people??!!

While I won't grovel for mercy..... I do agree that Washington sold us out. Decent, hard working (and I mean hard-working) people such as myself have almost NO CHANCE at success. What is a full-time-plus working single Mom to do? Depend on a man? Beg the government for a handout??? Please oh please feed and clothe us?? Take care of us because the father ran off for drugs and women of ill-repute? I work six-days a week, try to pick up extra little jobs, and it makes me sick to my stomach, to watch untold lazy dead-beat parents (mostly women) collecting a check for not doing a darn thing??? This is my tax dollars hard at work?? I blame the government for enabling people to be bums, but I blame the people themselves for wanting to be bums, especially the moms. Something happened to the younger generation of Americans, and soon enough the welfare recipients will out-number the working class. Then we'll all be begging China for some rice.
