Lawrence ‘Larry’ Pavlik

Lawrence David “Larry” Pavlik, 80, of Slippery Rock, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at the H.J. Heinz Progressive Care Center in Aspinwall.

Larry was born March 31, 1945, in Pittsburgh, to George Joseph Pavlik and Isabelle Christine Travis Pavlik. Larry graduated from North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.

He married Munah Hashim on Aug. 22, 1984, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2017.

Larry was a very successful high fashion ladies shoe salesman requiring him to travel frequently. He was a loving husband and enjoyed his friends and community. He loved his faithful little dog, Cortez, was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter and was a devoted member of St. Peter Church (St. Faustina Parish) in Slippery Rock. He served frequently as a sacrosanct for daily mass.

Survivors include stepdaughter, Chi (Matt) Mitson, of Florida; two sisters, Roberta (Bobbie) Morris, of Chesterfield, Mo., and Leslie Moran, of Jefferson City, Mont.; three nephews, Dominick (Nancy) Pavlik, Flagg Pavlik and Daniel Pavlik; and niece, Amy Pavlik.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Michael and Flagg.

PAVLIK — There will be visitation for Lawrence David “Larry” Pavlik, who died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with Father Kevin Poecking and Father Adam Verona co-officiating.

Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Harrisville.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Faustina Parish.
