April Hartzel
On the morning of Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, April G. Hartzel, of Zelienople, went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
April was born April 20, 1953, to the late Levi and Hazel (Gerwig) Hartzel.
April was a natural caregiver all her life, most notably as an LPN and then respiratory therapy tech at North Hills Passavant Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, doing word searches, bowling, baking cookies and sending greeting cards. She was a faithful member of Grace Church of Harmony, where she served by helping with preschool, Sunday school and Bible studies, as well as sang in the choir.
April is survived by her sisters, Gloria (Blaine) Piper and Ruth Ann Hartzel; and her brother, Dale (Linda) Hartzel. She is also survived by nieces, Kim Gaster, Julie (Donald) Bokoski and Beth (Tom) Fletcher; nephews, Justin (Courtney) Hartzel, Jonathan (Julianna) Hartzel and Jared (Megan) Hartzel; great-nephews, Grayson Hartzel, Jordan Hartzel, Josh Hartzel and Jacob Lemons; and great-nieces, Addison Hartzel, Aubrey Hartzel, Emmalyn Hartzel and Piper (Shelby) Juillerat.

HARTZEL — The family of April G. Hartzel, who died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the funeral home, with Pastor Reid Moon officiating.
