Wendy Rea
Wendy Lee Rea, 63, of Butler, peacefully passed away at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Butler, on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, following an illness.
Born March 15, 1962, in Erie, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Lee and Jane Louise Tirk Waldenmyer.
She attended the Unionville Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Wendy was a homemaker who enjoyed time with her family and caring for her son, Tyler. She was social, loved to shop and be out and about and enjoyed baking.
She is survived by her son, Tyler Dane Rea, of Butler; her former spouse and friend, Rick Rea, of Butler; her sisters, Debra Smith, of Butler, Tracey (John) Saul, of Butler, and Deanna (Charles) Morrison, of Texas; nieces and nephews, Channing (Derrick) Eythe, Jessica (Nick) Merz, Johnny (Brandi) Saul and CJ (Abby) Morrison; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Lincoln Smith; and her brother-in-law, Elvin Smith.
REA — The family of Wendy Lee Rea, who died Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, will hold private services with the Rev. Matthew Kail, her church pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
