Thomas Heitzer
Thomas W. Heitzer, 67, of Tarentum, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian.
Born Dec. 16, 1957, in Butler, he was the son of the late Jerome Heitzer and Dorothy Angert Heitzer.
Tom was retired from FIT Optimized Solutions as an HVAC technician. He had previously worked at Bakerstown Container Corp. for 30 years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Bev, whom he shared the past 47 years with. Their adventures together included many local and distant road trips through 47 of the U.S. states. Additionally, Tom enjoyed driving his Shelby GT 500 Mustang, riding his Harley, playing guitar, gardening, cooking and golfing with his friends.
Tom had a great sense of humor and found chickens particularly amusing. He had a special love of animals, especially for his beloved German shepherd dog, Franki.
Regardless of how they were doing, Tom was a die-hard Steelers fan and also enjoyed watching the Penguins and Pirates.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly (Sarver) Heitzer, whom he married June 10, 1995; one sister, Deb Heitzer, of Annandale, Va.; one brother, Mike (Elaine) Heitzer, of Saxonburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Heitzer; and one sister, Patricia Clark.
HEITZER — Friends of Thomas W. Heitzer, who died Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 8, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
