Donald ‘Scott’ Frampton
Donald “Scott” Frampton, 91, of Grove City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and a friend, Jake from State Farm, on Tuesday evening, Nov. 4, 2025.
Scott was born in Parker, on Feb. 9, 1934, to Vinter Vincent “VV” and Harriett (Stillwagon) Frampton. He married Mary Louise Creighton on April 21, 1956, in Winchester, Va.
Scott was a graduate of Harrisville High School in 1952.
He worked as an apprentice in the machine shop at the Cooper Bessemer in Grove City from 1952 to 1956. Scott then served two years in the U.S. Army from January 1957 to 1959. He was honorably discharged from Fort Belvoir, Va. and returned to work at Cooper Bessemer where he retired after 44½ years of service as machine shop supervisor.
Scott was a longtime member of Tower Presbyterian Church, where he served for three years as a deacon and three years as an elder.
He dearly loved his family. Scott is survived by his wife, Mary, at home; two children, Michelle Ed (Michael Winklepleck) and Todd (Deb) Frampton; four grandchildren, Nellie (Jake) Kearney, Wesley (Maria) Ed, Brittney (Josh) Thomas and Jake (Margaret) Frampton; four great-grandchildren, Luka Kearney, Jake Straite, and Josephine and Jasper Frampton, and an expected baby Ed in November; and a brother, Jerry L. Frampton. Three sisters-in-law also survive, Linda, Karen and Louise Frampton.
He was preceded in death by three half brothers, Jay Stillwagon, and James “Jim” and Richard “Dick” Frampton; six brothers, Gene, John, Charlie, Sam, Russ, and Larry Frampton, and four sisters, Beth Evans, Louise Bell, Sonja Mace and Susie Frampton.
FRAMPTON — A memorial service for Donald “Scott” Frampton, who died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the sanctuary of Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, with military honors following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tower Church.
