Michael Thomas Muha, Esq., 42, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully with his family at his side Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Michael was born Sept. 5, 1983, to Sandra Lee (Urey) and Terry Lee Muha in Greenville. After graduating from Hickory High School, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University, master’s degree from American University and Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland School of Law. He established his own local law practice, Michael T. Muha, Attorney at Law.

On Sept. 9, 2017, he married his wife, Rebecca Jean (Pappas) Muha, who survives at home.

He was of the Presbyterian faith. Michael was a member of the Mercer County Bar Association, active in numerous community organizations and enjoyed volunteering as a Santa for the Sharpsville Service Club. He was known to be very attentive to politics and always stayed informed on local issues. He was awaiting a call to be on the game show “Jeopardy!” after recently making into the contestant finalist pool. He was also dedicated to finishing a novel that his father started.

Michael loved spending time at his family’s cabin on Lake Erie and also at his in-laws camp. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing video games, board games, collecting baseball cards, time at Sigaro Cigar Lounge, his animal family and especially his dog and buddy, Tibby. Most important to Michael was spending time with his family, most notably his niece and nephew who adored him.

Michael is survived by his wife, Rebecca Muha at home; mother, Sandra Muha; sister, Lindsay (William) Huffman; in-laws, Brian and Nancy Pappas; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Ron) Weaver and Laura Pappas; niece, Elizabeth Weaver; and nephew, Johnny Weaver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry L. Muha; and grandparents, George R. and Jane C. Muha, and Helen and Albert Urey.

MUHA — Friends of Michael Thomas Muha, who died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at SHERMAN FUNERAL HOME, 2201 Highland Road, Hermitage.

A memorial service in honor of his life will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter C. deVries, Ph.D. and the Rev. Dr. Anthony Kladitis co-officiating.
