Thomas Baker, 73, of Evans City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Nov. 28, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of the late Everett and Margaret (Butterton) Baker.

Tom was an active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and garden. He was an avid reader. He also enjoyed photography, traveling and coaching his daughter in softball. Tom was also a member of the Masonic Harmony Lodge No. 429.

Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Brooke Baker; his sisters, Linda (William) Kaylor and Julia Baker; his sisters-in-law, Judy (Mark) O’Connor and Sue Ann (Scott) Clary; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Frenchik; his many nieces and nephews; and his many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Dawn Baker; and his sister, Barb Williams.

BAKER — Friends and family of Thomas Baker, who died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Evans City Library, 204 S. Jackson St., Evans City, PA 16033.
