Armella “Mel” (Hahn) Kelly, 97, of Shaler Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.

She was the wife of the late Paul F. Kelly; mother of Kathy Born (Bill), Patty Wilkerson (Bob) and Paul Kelly (Debbie); grandmother of Nick Born (Amber), Ben Born, Amber Born (Roy), Bobby Wilkerson (Nora), Kelly Wilkerson, Sean Kelly and Megan Kelly; and great-grandmother of Ashlynn.

Mel was the sister of the late Gerard and Charles Hahn.

Mel was a proud supporter of all Pittsburgh Sports teams — especially the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates — she brought that same passion and loyalty to cheering on her beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.

Growing up, Mel enjoyed playing volleyball. In her later years, she found joy in her card club and meeting with her friends. She was also a proud longtime member of the Sarah Heinz House.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Sebastian Church. Everyone please meet at church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212, or the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
