John Boyle
John J. “Jack” Boyle, 79, of Penn Township, Butler, formerly of Warrendale, passed away on Friday morning, Oct. 17, 2025, in the comfort of his home.
Born Dec. 14, 1945, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles “Buddy” and Alice Lupo Boyle.
Jack served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and spent 25 years in various positions with the North Pittsburgh Telephone Company.
He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church and had been a member of the Marshall Township V.F.D. He also had been an EMT and a paramedic.
Jack volunteered for many years at Holiday Campgrounds, where he enjoyed spending weekends and summers. He also was a snowbird in Ft. Myers, Fla.
Surviving are a daughter, Andrea Berry (Shawn), of Fenelton; three sons, Jeffrey, Timothy and Edward Boyle, all of Valencia; a brother, Eugene Boyle (Jean), of Mars; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; his stepdaughter, Lori Detzel; and his former wife, Marilyn Kramer Boyle. He is also survived by his support dog, Buddy, that he never went anywhere without.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ella Neelan Boyle, who died Dec. 22, 2014; and by two sisters, Carole Ann Rudolchick and Karen Sue Vandevort.
