Diana Jean Deal (née Zell, formerly Taylor), 78, of Cape Coral, Fla., passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025.

The daughter of Clifford and Mary Louise Zell, Diana was born on June 18, 1947, and attended Wilkinsburg High School and Mansfield State College. She taught home economics at Midland Borough School District, ran a day care center in her home in Greensburg and worked for the family business, before earning her real estate license and working for Lenape Realty, in Ford City.

Always known as a great cook and life of the party, Diana was devoted to service and faith. She was a deaconess and former board member at First Christian Church in Greensburg, past Worthy Matron for the Greensburg chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Lady’s Oriental Shrine of North America. As a former King Lion of the Manor Township chapter of the Lion’s Club and passionate hockey mom, she was noted for her prolific raffle ticket sales.

She is survived by her husband, George Thomas Deal; her son, Brett Taylor; her brothers, David, Warren and Timothy Zell; and her nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 17, 2025, at First Christian Church, Greensburg.
