James F. Carothers
James F. "Fuzzy" Carothers, 66, of 1274 County Line Road, Salem Township, Mercer County, passed away at 2:18 a.m. Monday after a brief illness at UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
Fuzzy was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Florence (Gregg) Carothers, and his brother, Dave Carothers.
Fuzzy was born in McKees Rocks on Jan. 3, 1943. He was a lifelong truck driver and enjoyed attending the Bethel Life Worship Center in Greenville.
Fuzzy loved being outdoors with his grandchildren. He had a passion for chocolate and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took great pleasure in helping other people, enjoyed his pets and was a witty man who loved a good joke.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Foley-Carothers, at home; his children, Shawn Carothers and his wife, Sue, of Harmony, Cricket and her husband, Jeff Steigerwalds, of Georgia, Sharon and her husband, Richard Zeronis, of Pittsburgh, Mike Foley of Greenville and Debra Foley of Franklin; three brothers, John Carothers and his wife, Margaret, of Harmony, Phillip Carothers Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Zelienople and Albert Carothers and his wife, Deborah, of Evans City; and two sisters, Ann Carothers of Zelienople and Winnie and her husband, Frank Sharrar, of Zelienople. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

"Fuzzy" Carothers, who died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the <B>OSBORNE-WILLIAMS FUNERALHOME and Cremation Services</B>, 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville, with the Rev. Kent Bell, senior pastor of Bethel Life Worship Center, officiating.A luncheon will follow the service at Bethel Life Worship Center, 256 S.
