Kudamik

Stephen B. Kudamik, 87, of New Hill, N.C., formerly of Meridian, died Wednesday in Pittsboro, N.C. He had been living in North Carolina to be near his family.

He was born March 29, 1922, in Vandergrift, a son of the late Vendel and Magdalene Varosh Kudamik.

Mr. Kudamik was retired from Butler Armco. He worked in the slab conditioning department and retired in 1983 following 38 years of service.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, having served with the 38th Infantry in the Philippines and Asiatic theater.

Mr. Kudamik was a member of the former St. Conrad Catholic Church, which is now St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

His wife, Dorothy Lestyk Kudamik, who he married Feb. 10, 1945, preceded him in death April 19, 2002. He also was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Surviving are two sons, Michael S. Kudamik and his wife, Cynthia, of Butler and Gregory J. and his wife, Carolyn, with whom he had made his home; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He also is survived by two sisters, Mary Langa of Prospect and Ann Farinelli of Portersville.

<B>KUDAMIK </B>— A private funeral service and committal for Stephen B. Kudamik, who died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, was held for his family today at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Butler. The Rev.
