Benjamin R. Ferringer
Benjamin Russell "Ben" Ferringer, 24, passed away Sunday at his home in Petrolia.
He was born in Butler, June 18, 1984, and was the son of Daniel Benjamin Ferringer Jr. and Lorrie Marie Cratty Ferringer of Petrolia.
He was a Baptist.
He graduated from the Karns City High School, Class of 2003, and he played the trombone for a time in high school.
He enjoyed time with his children, hunting, fishing and his favorite sports on television, The Ultimate Fighting Challenge, NFL football, boxing and wrestling.
At the time of his death, he was a production worker with U.M.E. of Butler.
He is survived by his two daughters, Makenzie Rain Ferringer and Brianna Marie Roxbury, both of Petrolia; a son, Landon Fayton Ferringer of Petrolia; his parents, Daniel Benjamin Jr. and Lorrie Marie Ferringer of Petrolia; his maternal grandparents, Russell and Sonja Pennington Cratty of North Washington; his paternal grandparents, Marie and Leo Campbell of Chicora and Florida; a sister, Amber Marie Ferringer and friend, Richard Roxbury, of Rimersburg; and a nephew, Skyler Ferringer of Rimersburg.
<B>FERRINGER </B>— Friends of Benjamin Russell "Ben" Ferringer, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B> in Petrolia. Visitation also will be held Thursday from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul DeBacco, pastor of the Criswell Bible Church of Karns City, officiating. Interment will follow in the North Washington Union Cemetery.
