Mary Ann Nemcek

Mary Ann Huff Nemcek, 77, of Grandview Boulevard passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Sept. 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank Huff and Eleanor Wick Huff.

Mrs. Nemcek was employed in the food service department for the Butler School District, working in the high school.

She attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. She was a member of the AARP, the Sixty Plus group at the Tanglewood Senior Center, the Butler County Association of School Retirees, the Pennsylvania Public School Employees and was a charter member of the South Butler Fire Department's Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crocheting, her house plants, meeting with ladies and friends for lunch, Bible studies and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Nemcek, whom she married Jan. 7, 1949; a daughter, Lexie A. Nemcek of Naples, Fla.; three sons, Joseph Nemcek and his wife, Judy, of Winter Garden, Fla., James Nemcek and his wife, Karen, of Columbus, Ohio, and Terry Nemcek and his wife, Sally, of New Brighton; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three beloved brothers.

<B>NEMCEK</B> — Friends of Mary Ann Huff Nemcek, who died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC.</B>, 124 E. North St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Jenks, of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, officiating.
