I would like to make a clarification and admit to an error in judgment regarding my Jan. 3 letter to the editor “ ‘Yes’ could mean no gun.”

The letter in question was not written by me. I merely forwarded it, having gotten it from a website.

I’m not a retired police officer, as suggested in the letter. Rather than writing a letter of my own based on the police officer’s letter, I just forwarded it to provide information on what is going on regarding gun control.

I apologize for any misunderstanding that this created and for not making it clear that the letter was not something I authored.
