Trump policies called a disaster
Americans have now experienced six months of President Donald Trump's failed election promises; I experience it on every trip for inflated groceries at the Giant Eagle or paying my utilities (particularly electricity) and other household needs; his other primary failed election promise is the war raging on in Ukraine.
Instead of fixing these problems as he promised voters, Trump works other issues through his slew of executive orders where many are outright violations of our Constitution or hurting lower economic Americans.
As Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman said, “Never have I seen any president or Congress do so much harm to so many people in so little time”:
■ Strip health care (Medicaid) from over 10 million people.
■ Cut food stamp benefits (SNAP) for 2.4 million Americans, many of them children,
■ Slash $8 billion from lifesaving foreign aid programs (USAID),
■ Defund public radio (NPR) and television stations (PBS) nationwide & for the world (Voice of America),
■ Kill hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs while denying environmental changes,
■ Hand $4.5 trillion in tax breaks to Trump's billionaire friends that will again increase the national debt.
Mr. Krugman is an expert on tariffs and considers Trumps’ tariffs as irrational figments of Trump's imagination instead of goal-oriented and effective. Trump's only reasonable executive action this term is stopping the minting of pennies!
