June M. (Mitchell) Moore, 87, died peacefully Friday at her home in Murrysville with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Butler, the daughter of the late William C. and Ruth L. (Steffen) Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John C. Moore; her brothers, William and Dale Mitchell; and sisters, Thelma Dreschler, Elsie Heichel and Dorothy Farnen.

June is survived by her loving children, Carole Andrews and her husband, James, of Florida, John C. Moore Jr. and his wife, Marlene, of Monroeville and Jimmy D. Moore also of Monroeville; grandchildren, Brian J. Moore and his wife, Kelly, Shelly Moore, Stacey L. Bacote and her husband, Terrence, and Gregory C. Moore; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn S. and Cameron J.; a brother, James L. Mitchell and his wife, Blanche, of Genessee, Pa. and Lake Wells, Fla.; and also nieces and nephews.

June was a volunteer for the Murrysville Meals on Wheels and a member of the Murrysville Senior Citizens Center.
