City man, 41, will spend up to five years in prison for drug possession

A Butler man was sentenced Wednesday to up to five years in state prison after pleading guilty in February to possessing drugs with the intention to deliver.

On April 10, 2019, state police vice officers arrested Terrell Reavis, 41, at a two-story house on the 300 block of Negley Avenue where he lived. There, police said they found powder and rock cocaine, marijuana, drug packaging materials and other contraband.

Police said Reavis was found in an upstairs bedroom. He originally faced felony charges of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance along with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

On Feb. 12, he agreed to plead guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Judge William Shaffer on Wednesday sentenced Reavis to two to five years in prison, with 13 days of credit for time already served.
