Stock purchase was to support local jobs
An imaginary problem in Butler County became visible after our congressman's wife purchased stock in a local steel mill that needed investors to maintain jobs in the area.
She was criticized for buying stock in Cleveland-Cliffs, the company that replaced one of our county's largest employers, Armco.
The usual people made the usual accusations of “impropriety.”
The rest of us are grateful to see someone doing something meaningful to support jobs that provide livelihoods to thousands of nearby families.
