I want to give a shout out to the Adoring Christ Thru Song choir and orchestra under the direction of Kate Cotter and Katie Altman for a wonderful Fourth of July program at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church. Titled “With Liberty and Justice For All.”

The foundation of our republic was shared through music and narration and overhead slides of events through the years. There were no dry eyes in the audience as the orchestra played the military service songs. It was a great way to spend time with family on the Fourth of July afternoon. We were visiting from Dawsonville, Ga.

My sister has been singing in the group since the 1990s — we have enjoyed every concert. If you would like to join — vocal or instrumental — you are so welcome. Visit their Facebook page “Adoring Christ Thru Song.” Anyone in seventh grade and up who likes to sing or play an instrument is welcome.
