Giacomo D. 'Jock' Kimicata
Giacomo D. “Jock” Kimicata, 89, of Karns City passed away at 5:12 a.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jock was born on Jan. 15, 1925, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Giacomo Kimicata and Myvanthey Evans Kimicata.
He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended the St. Louis Catholic Church in West Sunbury.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Jock was a landscaper and owner of Kimicata Brothers Landscaping.
Jock is survived by his wife, C. Lucille Kessler Kimicata, who he married on March 23, 1984; his three daughters, Monica (Steve) Oder of Williamsport, Md., Frances Kimicata of Phoeniz, Ariz., and Rose M. (Joseph) Mormino of Bentsenville, Ill.; his two grandchildren, Roseanne Oder and Thomas Oder; his two sisters, Florence Eichenlaub and Myvanthey O'Donnell; his stepdaughter, Wendy (William D.) Pounds of Chicora, and his two stepsons; Phillip M. Benson of Sinclairsville, N.Y., and Kenneth M. Benson of Chicora.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Kimicata.
Kimicata— A Mass of Christian burial for Giacomo D. “Jock” Kimicata, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, with the Father James Bedillion of the St. Alphonsus Paris officiating.
