Transparency a must in Epstein case

In public discourse, few topics evoke as much concern, speculation and demand for transparency as the Epstein files. This trove of documents has become a fulcrum upon which issues of justice, power and public trust pivot. As a society premised upon the rule of law and public accountability, we find ourselves at a crossroads. Will we allow the truth to remain obscured, or will we insist upon full disclosure?

The urgency of making the Epstein files public cannot be overstated. In an age beset by misinformation and cynicism regarding our legal and political systems, transparency is not a luxury; it is a necessity. To keep these files secret is to perpetuate suspicion, allow impunity, and erode the foundations our society is built upon.

The Epstein files, by what I believe are credible accounts, implicate a web of individuals across various walks of life — business, politics, entertainment and beyond. The gravity and breadth of these potential connections make it vital that no one is shielded from scrutiny because of their status. To keep the files locked away is to privilege the powerful, reinforce the notion that justice is selective, and undermine faith in our institutions.

The decisions made regarding the Epstein files will reverberate far beyond the present. They will set precedents, mold expectations and shape the contours of public trust for years to come. We must not allow fear, favoritism, or inertia to dictate our actions. The imperative is clear: open the files and reaffirm our commitment to justice for all.
