Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
June 16 — Kenneth Lee Hilliard Jr., 42, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of substances following a May 23 crash. Police said Hilliard tested positive for THC.
June 16 — Jed Albert Jerome, 39, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor theft following an April 24 incident. Police said Jerome used a neighbor’s dumpster, which required cleaning for $560.
June 17 — Tara J. Kyles-Edge, 41, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats following a June 16 incident. Police said Kyles-Edge indicated she would attack a woman with a bat.
June 17 — Jonathen Paul Parker, 20, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor harassment following a June 15 incident. Police said Parker threatened a woman.
June 17 — Jonathen Paul Parker, 20, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of resisting arrest and obstruction following a June 11 incident. Police said Parker ignored commands from officers and stiffened when police attempted to search him.
June 16 — Jed Montgomery Beachem, 37, of Zelienople, was charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property following a June 6 incident. Police said Beachem stole four packs of trading cards valued at $190.77 from Target.
June 17 — Kayla Marie McElyea, 29, of Essington, was charged with one felony count each of receiving stolen property, theft and access device fraud following a May 22 incident in Seven Fields. Police said McElyea used a false name a credit card to purchase jewelry worth $3,066.70.
June 17 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 5:53 p.m. on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Levi G. McWilliams, 30, of Grove City, was traveling south when his 2020 Kia Soul crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Mellisa A. Hiatt, 49, of Harrisville. Police said Hiatt attempted to swerve left but could not avoid being struck. Both drivers and a 17-year-old male passenger were transported by Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team to AHN Grove City Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The vehicles were towed from the scene by Pry’s Towing and Ace’s Towing. Unionville Volunteer Fire Company also responded.
June 17 — Ashton Nathaniel Martin, 26, of Pound, Va., was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a June 17 crash in Parker Township. Police said Martin showed signs of impairment but refused a chemical breath test.
June 17 — Ahmed Mohammed Shbian, 47, of Stow, Ohio, was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession following a June 13 incident. Police said Shbian had two small containers of THC.
June 17 — Katrina Anne Adams, 28, of Saxonburg, was charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault, three misdemeanor counts each of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, and one misdemeanor count each of DUI and resisting arrest following a June 16 crash in Jefferson Township. Police said Adams showed signs of aggression, actively resisted and kicked an officer and had a blood alcohol content of 0.252%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
June 17 — Raymond Andrew Wittig, 28, of Parker, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts and one misdemeanor count each of resisting arrest, controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a May 3 crash in Washington Township. Police said Wittig resisted arrest, showed signs of impairment and admitted to being on drugs.
June 17 — Chanta Rena Pflugh, 34, of Karns City, was charged with misdemeanor trespass following a June 11 incident in Eau Claire. Police said Pflugh was banging and kicking a front door after being told to leave.
June 17 — Tyler Prentice Baptie, 31, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Feb. 25 traffic stop. Police said Baptie tested positive for fentanyl and methadone.
