On this Flag Day, I am still a proud American.

I have seen in this past week, that flawed as our system might be, there are still representatives of this, our great Keystone State, working tirelessly for the constituents of Butler County.

On Monday, June 9, I turned to Rep. Marci Mustello's office for help with an issue that I didn't know how to solve. I was welcomed to the office, the problem was discussed, the answer was immediately acted upon and by Friday, June 13, was completed satisfied. The system worked exactly as it was supposed to.

My point is this … we are one nation, under God, no matter party affiliation, no matter if we agree on everything.

The aides of Marci Mustello's office were there to help people with problems, period, with a welcoming spirit, and with the right answers. They are a witness of how our great country is supposed to work.

We have a choice in America, to step back, count our blessings, and strive to be the best citizens we can be. My prayer for America is … choose wisely. We never know what we have until we loose it.

Once again, kudos to the aides at Marci Mustello's office.
