Butler Senior High School 2025 honors
The following students at Butler Senior High School graduated in 2025 with honors with distinction.
Adraya Baxter, daughter of Ernest and Amy Baxter, of Butler. Adraya participated in varsity track, was student council secretary and was in the National Honor Society. Adraya plans to attend St. Francis University to become a Physician Assistant.
Lauren Beneigh, daughter of John and Sarah Beneigh, of Butler. Lauren participated in girls volleyball, unified track and field, National Honor Society, earned a P.E.O Chapter AY Local Scholarship and an Amy Fisher Maxwell Memorial Scholarship. Lauren plans to attend West Virginia University for biology.
Braden Bergbigler, son of Steven Bergbigler and Nicole Kurtiak, of Butler. Braden participated in National Honor Society, was vice president of the Class of 2025 and was in Spanish Club. Braden plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Campus for aviation/aerospace engineering.
Alayna Bestwick, daughter of David and Kristi Bestwick, of Butler. Alayna participated in National Honor Society, Unified Track and Field: Special Olympics, was Butler Area Junior Classical League President and is a Butler County Youth Leadership Program graduate. Alayna plans to attend Butler County Community College for nursing.
Andrew Bocci, son of David and Amy Bocci, of Butler. Andrew was in National Honor Society and played boys varsity tennis. Andrew plans to attend Grove City College for mechanical engineering.
Maggie Bodamer, daughter of Cameron and Amy Bodamer, of Butler. Maggie participated in the Butler Marching Band and varsity girls tennis team. Maggie plans to attend Chatham University for nursing.
Owen Boring, son of Eric and Miranda Boring, of Butler. Owen participated in National Honor Society and varsity baseball. Owen plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh for finance.
Amelia Bosco, daughter of Jessica Bosco, of Fenelton. Amelia participated in National Honors Society. Amelia plans to attend Miami University for biology and pre-health studies.
Jordyn Campbell, daughter of Robert and Lianne Campbell, of Butler. Jordyn participated in National Honor Society (Lettered), Butler Junior Classical League, Best Buddies and earned the AP Scholar Award. Jordyn plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for biomedical engineering.
Casey Clouse, daughter of Justin and JoLynn Clouse, of Butler. Casey was secretary of National Honor Society (Lettered) and was captain of the girls basketball team (Lettered). Casey plans to attend Robert Morris University for pre-medicine.
Luke Codispot, son of Robert and Traci Codispot, of Butler. Luke participated in National Honor Society. Luke plans to attend Duquesne University for finance.
Ashley Colonello, daughter of Nicholas and Nicole Colonello, of Butler. Ashley plans to attend Butler County Community College for general studies.
Rylee Colteryahn, daughter of Ryan and Kati Colteryahn, of Prospect. Rylee participated in National Honor Society, earned a National School Orchestra Award and was a two-time Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Orchestra Violist. Rylee plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for integrative science.
Jessica Cornell, daughter of Michael and Jeanie Cornell, of Chicora. Jessica participated in sequinettes, Christian Fellowship Club and the Latin Club. Jessica plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for animal science.
Julianna DeMeio, daughter of Christopher and Melissa DeMeio, of Renfrew. Julianna participated in the varsity swimming and diving team, National Honors Society, AP Scholar Award and was a four-year varsity swimming letter winner. Julianna plans to attend Grove City College for nursing.
Alexander Depew, son of Aaron and Holly Depew, of Butler. Alexander participated in cross country, track and field, National Honor Society and Butler Youth Technical and Educational Support. Alexander plans to attend Geneva College for computer science.
Connor Dolan, son of Sean and Johanna Dolan, of Butler. Donovan participated in National Honors Society, earned a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Performance on the SAT and the Challenge Program Attendance Award. Connor plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for chemistry.
Donovan Heist, son of Brian and Andrea Heist, of Chicora. Donovan participate in National Honor Society. Donovan plans to attend Slippery Rock University for mathematics with a concentration in statistics.
Chloe Laidlaw, daughter of Renee Laidlaw and the late Daniel Laidlaw, of Butler. Chloe participated in National Honors Society and ski club. Chloe plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for pre-dentistry.
Audrey Lehman, daughter of Keith and Tammy Lehman, of Butler. Audrey participated in National Honors Society, Pennsylvania AAAA All-State Volleyball Team, was first team 4A Section Volleyball All Star, First Team Big 56 Conference Volleyball Team, two-time Butler Eagle Player of the Week and was a four-year volleyball letter winner. Audrey plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for kinesiology.
Abigail Lutz, daughter of Roger and Amy Lutz, of Butler. Abigail plans to attend Allegheny College for chemistry.
Liam Madden, son of Jonathan and Shannon Madden, of Butler. Liam plans to attend Geneva College for engineering.
Emmet McClaine, son of Kevin and Gina McClaine, of Chicora. Emmet participated in National Honors Society. Emmet McClaine plans to study business at an undecided college.
Kaitlyn McGuire, daughter of Scott and Brenda McGuire, of Butler. Kaitlyn participated in National Honors Society, varsity girls soccer, earned the 2024 MVP Girls' Soccer Award, the 2024 Girls' Soccer Academic Award, was 2024 WPIAL All Section and the symphonic band. Kaitlyn plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University for civil engineering.
Makayla McLister, daughter of Jonathan and Janae McLister, of Butler. Makayla participated in varsity cross country, varsity track and field, National Honor Society, Best Buddies, was a Gannon University Presidential Scholarship Winner and earned the John J. Baglier Memorial Scholarship Award. Makayla plans to attend Gannon University for its five-year accelerated physician assistant program.
Alexis Menchyk, daughter of Andrew and Sharon Menchyk, of Butler. Alexis participated in National Honor Society and girls varsity lacrosse. Alexis plans to attend West Virginia University for biology.
Jackson Morgus, son of Timothy and Sari Morgus, of Butler. Jackson participated in National Honor Society, varsity swimming, varsity boys volleyball, was president of the chess club, was an AP scholar with distinction, and earned a National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award. Jackson plans to attend Purdue University for actuarial science.
Maura Mormak, daughter of David and Dana Mormak, of Butler. Maura was dumline captain, varsity mock trial captain, youth and government judicial liaison/state semifinalist, was student ambassadors president, National Honor Society (Lettered) and earned the AP Scholar Award. Maura plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for English literature and pre-law.
Ryan Orsborn, son of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Orsborn, of Butler. Ryan participated in National Honor Society, track and field, tennis, was a Future Business Leaders of America state finalist and was in the Bytes Club. Ryan plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for electrical engineering.
Evelyn Paserba, daughter of Kris and Deanne Paserba, of Butler. Evelyn was vice president of National Honor Society, participated in varsity volleyball, varsity track and field, student council, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and earned the Commitment to Community Service Award. Evelyn plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for biomedical engineering.
Brielle Pinto, daughter of John and Diana Pinto, of Butler. Brielle participated in National Honor Society and earned a Class of ‘59 Scholarship. Brielle plans to attend Butler County Community College for diagnostic medical sonography.
Channing Popovich, daughter of Christopher and Cybil Popovich, of Butler. Channing participated in volleyball, track and field, Spanish Club earned a James Mullner Scholarship and was on the leadership committee. Channing plans to attend Kent State University for business analytics.
Olivia Porneluzi, daughter of Kevin and Jessica Porneluzi, of Butler. Olivia participate in National Honors Society and girls varsity tennis. Olivia plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for biological sciences.
Tanner Pry, son of Jason and Deann Pry, of Butler. Tanner participated in varsity baseball, varsity basketball, Best Buddies and the Spanish Club. Tanner plans to attend Mount Aloysius College for physical therapy.
Evan Reinsel, son of Donald and Rebecca Reinsel, of Butler. Evan was National Honor Society President, football team Captain, a marching band member, four-time track and field letter winner, was senior class treasurer and participated in Best Buddies. Evan plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for industrial and manufacturing engineering.
Jacqueline Shields, daughter of Carl and Suzanne Shields, of Butler. Jacqueline participated in girls volleyball, National Honor Society, Butler Area Junior Classical League, ski club and earned the AP Scholar Award. Jacqueline plans to attend University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg for nursing.
Cooper Skal, son of Damian and Julie Skal, of Chicora. Cooper participated in boys lacrosse. Cooper plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for engineering.
Jordyn Slater, daughter of Ray and Ursula Slater, of Butler. Jordyn participated in National Honor Society, girls varsity volleyball, unified bocce, unified track and field and Spanish Club. Jordyn plans to attend West Virginia University for chemical engineering.
Zachary Slear, son of Arthur and Stephanie Slear, of Butler. Zachary was National Honor Society treasurer, class president, Extreme Leadership, KD Quiz Bowl Team, earned cross country MVP Award and a Challenge Program STEM Award. Zachary plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for aerospace engineering.
Jocie Slesinski, daughter of Edward and Chasity Slesinski, of Butler. Jocie participated in National Honors Society, track and field, had the track and field 4x100m relay school record and earned a Richard E. Pyewell Memorial Scholarship. Jocie plans to attend Robert Morris University for nursing.
Elliette Smith, daughter of Darrell and Carrie Smith, of Butler. Elliette participated in National Honor Society, was a sequinette co-captain, varsity lacrosse captain and cross country. Elliette plans to attend Grove City College for mechanical engineering.s
Elijah Snyder, son of David and Erin Snyder, of Butler. Elijah participated in Student IT Services, was Butler Tech Club President, Student Council Treasurer, was Butler Township Board of Commissioners’ student representative, pep rally announcer and variety show emcee. Elijah plans to attend Abertay University for computer science with a focus in cybersecurity.
Addison Tack, daughter of Michael and Jennifer Tack, of Butler. Addison participated in National Honors Society. Addison plans to attend Butler County Community College for nursing.
Alec Teff, son of Cody and Nina Teff, of Renfrew. Alec participated in varsity football, varsity boys' volleyball and National Honor Society. Alec plans to attend Georgia Institute of Technology for chemical and biomolecular engineering.
Kylie Tirk, daughter of Terri and Jesse Tirk, of Cabot. Kylie participated in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, SkillsUSA and was a Student of the Year nominee. Kylie plans to attend Butler County Community College for nursing.
Owen Trettel, son of Jennifer and Shane Helch, of Butler; Jason and Kara Trettel, of Butler. Owen was senior leader of varsity football and participated in Best Buddies. Owen plans to attend Pennsylvania State University for pre-medical.
Abigail Vance, daughter of Jared and Cathy Vance, of Butler. Abigail participated in National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, was a varsity girls swim team four-year letter winner, varsity swim team MVP (2022, 2023, 2024), varsity swim Team Tough as Nails (2024), and was varsity swim team high point winner for 2025. Abigail plans to attend Grove City College for nursing
Addison Vance, daughter of Jared and Cathy Vance, of Butler. Addison participated in the National Honor Society, was a varsity swimming four-year letter winner, Future Business Leaders of America, Girls MVP for varsity swimming 2024-25 and was high points scorer for varsity swimming 2023-24. Addison plans to attend Grove City College for accounting and business analysis.
Laken Whisinnand, son of Jon and Amanda Whisinnand, of Butler. Laken participated in National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Butler Youth Technology and Education Service and was class secretary. Laken plans to attend Duquesne University for physician assistant studies.
Verna Zhuo, daughter of Xiaoshou Zhuo and Huijin Li, of Butler. Verna participated in the Spanish Club. Verna plans to attend Vanderbilt University for cognitive science.
