CRANBERRY TWP — Lutheran Affiliated Services, one of the region's leading senior care providers, has changed its name to Lutheran SeniorLife to better reflect its ministry and vision for the future.

The decision to change the name comes after more than a year of study and analysis, during which it was found that the new name should more effectively identify it as a provider of senior care and living communities.

In addition, the Lutheran SeniorLife name will support the organization's long-term goals to provide quality senior-living care, which includes independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, Alzheimer's care, home healthcare and rehabilitation services.

Lutheran SeniorLife is currently the fourth largest provider of senior services in the region.

It owns and manages the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, LIFE/Beaver in Aliquippa and Crown Pointe Senior Living communities in Butler and Greensburg. It is also a partner in HomeLife Partners, a new home healthcare partnership with the Visiting Nurse Association of Western Pennsylvania.

Lutheran SeniorLife is headquartered in Cranberry Township.
