Police reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

May 21 — Joseph F. Sell, 60, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of controlled substance possession, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession and an ungraded charge of driving under the influence of controlled substances following a May 7 incident. Police said Sell showed signs of impairment and had a plastic tube of crack cocaine, two used crack pipes and one unused crack pipe.

May 22 — Michael E. Stagel, 61, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanor driving under the influence counts following a May 9 traffic stop. Police said Stagel had a blood alcohol content of 0.088%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

Butler Twp

May 22 — Donna J. Neely, 66, of Butler, was charged in three cases with misdemeanor theft following incidents April 20, 27 and 29. Police said Neely obtained merchandise from a store worth $102.80 and exchanged it for cash April 20. Police said she obtained merchandise from the store worth $87.95 and exchanged it for gift cards April 27 then attempted the same thing April 29.

May 27 — Brandon J. Keene, 38, of Parker, was charged with misdemeanor theft following a May 13 incident. Police said Keene attempted to pay at a restaurant using a counterfeit $100 bill.

May 27 — Robert J. McLaughlin, 35, of Prospect, was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage following a March 31 incident. Police said McLaughlin crashed into another vehicle and failed to provide his insurance information.

State police, Butler

May 20 — William E. Milbert Jr., 38, of East Butler, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault following a May 20 incident in Center Township. Police said Milbert put his hands over a woman’s face and mouth to restrict breathing, struck her in the face and threw her against a wall and floor.

May 22 — Steven D. Cousins, 48, of Cowansville, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of theft following an April 8 incident in Fairview Township. Police said Cousins stole about $300 from a lock box.

3:42 p.m. May 30 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Alwine Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Dave A. Kowal, 53, of Petrolia, was driving a Chevrolet Colorado when he failed to yield when exiting a parking lot and was stuck by a Honda Accord driven by Jacob T. Fullem, 23, of Saxonburg. Police said Fullem had a possible injury, and Kowal suffered a suspected minor injury, but neither were transported to a hospital.

8:04 p.m. May 31 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 at the exit 105 ramp in Worth Township. Police said Harpreet Singh, 35, of Guelph, Ontario, was making a right-hand turn on the exit ramp in a Freightliner Cascadia when his front-left tire hit the curb. The truck reportedly overturned and came to rest between the I-79 exit 105 off-ramp and I-79 on-ramp from Route 108. Singh suffered a suspected minor injury. Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company assisted on scene.
