Lloyd C. Haseleu
Lloyd C. “Butch” Haseleu, 61, of Cabot passed away Sunday at his home.
Born Oct. 25, 1949, in Bellevue, he was the son of Lloyd C. Haseleu and Gladys M. (Schick) Reel.
He retired from the U.S. Army in April 1996 after 26 years of service. He served as an E-8 first sergeant, was a member of the Special Forces, the Army Reserves, a graduate of jump school and a Vietnam veteran.
Butch worked for 36 years at the North Pittsburgh Telephone Co. in Gibsonia. He was a past president of the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, CLC Union.
He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for 49 years, where he was the district advancement chairman, lodge adviser to the Order of the Arrow Lodge, Woodbadge training staff and an Eagle Scout. He was a recipient of the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow Award of which he was very proud.
Butch loved the Boy Scouts, electronics, computers and making people laugh. He always had a smile on his face and couldn't go anywhere without knowing somebody.
Surviving are his loving wife, Ann (Deyarmin) Haseleu, who he married June 17, 2006; his mother, Gladys M. Reel of Avalon; his children, Todd (Erica) Haseleu of South Heights, Tiffany (Robert) Kelly of Pittsburgh and Tammie Haseleu of Seattle; his stepchildren, Frank Bekina and family, Dan Bekina and family, Mark Bekina and family and Becky Conti and family; his grandchildren, Jason Haseleu, Jeremy Haseleu, Vanessa Kelly and Nicholas Kelly; his step-grandchildren, Trista, Britany, Rayann, Layken, Abbey, Aiden, Paige and Haley; his sisters, Gladys Lee and Debra Zankem; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd C. Haseleu Jr.; and his nephew, William Donald Merwin, Jr.
<B>HASELEU </B>— Friends of Lloyd C. “Butch” Haseleu, who died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, will be received Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
