Marjorie A. "Margie" Whitmer, 73, of Gretna, La., passed away Thursday.

She was a native of Petrolia.

She was the beloved wife of Robert Whitmer; mother of Charles M. Whitmer, Terri W. Johnson and Timothy A. Whitmer; mother-in-law of Julie Whitmer, Christopher Johnson and Dawn Whitmer; sister of the late William Wood; grandmother of Ashley Comeaux, Megan Whitmer, Brittany Johnson and Brooke Whitmer; and great-grandmother of Tyler Comeaux.
