State police have released more information on a motorcycle crash Saturday, May 17, in Jefferson Township.

Police said Ash R. Nolte, 22, of Renfrew, was driving on Great Belt Road and, at around 8:15 a.m., approached a curve to the left when he steered into the oncoming lane and lost control.

Nolte fell on his side and slid with the motorcycle about 25 to 30 yards, police said. Nolte was wearing a helmet.

Nolte was treated at the scene by Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company EMS before being flown by Stat Medevac to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
