PennDOT worker struck by vehicle in construction zone in Oakland Township
Zane R. Everetts, 19, of Chicora, a PennDOT worker, sustained a suspected minor injury after being struck by a vehicle while in an active construction zone on Tuesday morning, April 29.
According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, when 71-year-old David MacDonald of Butler struck Everetts with his 2018 Chevrolet Silverado while he was attempting to turn north onto Chicora Road. Everetts was not transported for medical attention as a result of his injuries.
MacDonald was charged with failure to yield to authorized persons in a construction zone.
