Wilma E. Claypoole Hawley
Wilma E. Claypoole Hawley, 92, of Worthington died Wednesday at Armstrong County Health Center.
Born July 30, 1916, in Worthington, she was the daughter of Marion and Emma Boney Claypoole.
She was a homemaker. She was the oldest life member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington. She belonged to Loyalty Sunday School Class.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked baking and cooking.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas James Hawley and companion Ruth Fair of Kittanning and Homer Lee Hawley and his wife, Susan, of Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Wilma Jean) Barnhart of Kittanning and Mrs. Samuel (Barbara Louise) Claypoole of Worthington; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hawley, in 1982; two sons, Harlon and John Hawley; five brothers, Max, Ted, Blair, Ralph and her twin, Robert, Claypoole; two sisters, Mildred Bundy and Maxine Bowser; and an infant grandson, Barry Hawley. She was the last surviving member of her generation of family.
<B>HAWLEY</B>— Friends of Wilma E. Claypoole Hawley, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B>, Worthington.Services will be at noon Saturday at the Franklin Union Baptist Church with an hour of additional viewing starting at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. George Hall will officiate.Burial will be at the Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Union Baptist Church.
