D. Helen Ritchey
D. Helen Ritchey, 85, of Antioch, Tenn., formerly of Saxonburg, died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Antioch.
Born July 1, 1921, in Porter Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Vern S. and Lyda V. Snyder Himes.
She was a 1939 graduate of Winfield High School and a 1941 graduate of The Butler Business College.
Mrs. Ritchey had been a school bus driver at W.L. Roenigk Excavating & Transportation and retired in 2000 after 44 years.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver. She enjoyed church work, everything from teaching and leading to cleaning carpets.
Surviving are her son, Jay (Sue) Ritchey of Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Les (Kay) Freehling of Antioch; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, E. Weston Ritchey, who died Dec. 11, 1982; two sisters; and a brother.
