John Corsini, ex-Rimersburg official

John Corsini, 95, of East Brady, formerly of Rimersburg, died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 14, 1913, in Chickasaw, Armstrong County, he was the son of Modesto and Maria (Vannucci) Corsini.

He was a graduate of East Brady High School and graduated with degree in electrical engineering from Trinity College in Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Corsini was a former mayor of Rimersburg and East Brady. He was named "Citizen of the Year" in Rimersburg.

He enjoyed hunting, wine making and walking, but his greatest joy was his family.

He worked at the Michigan Limestone Mine in Bradys Bend and at Heilman's Garage in East Brady. He owned and operated a variety store and a bowling alley in East Brady and a confectionary store in Rimersburg.

He was a past senior judge and magistrate in Clarion County.

He was a member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, East Brady, and was former member of Lions Club and Community Club, both in Rimersburg. He served as president of the Rimersburg Little League and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8538 of New Bethlehem and the BPO Elks Lodge 203, Kittanning.

Surviving are his wife, A. Grace Wiles Corsini of East Brady, whom he married Oct. 30, 1943, in Butler; two daughters, Gloria Corsini Pollock and her husband, John, of Butler and Regina Mehalko and her husband, Vince, of Meadville; a son, John A. Corsini and his wife, Diane, of Rimersburg; a sister, Stena Patsy of New Castle; eight grandchildren, John Radaker, Ted Howard, Angela Radaker, Tony Howard, Dominic Corsini, Bridget Corsini, Jordan Radaker and Danna Corsini; and seven great-grandchildren, Rachel Howard, Payton Smith, Anthony Howard, Lincoln Smith, Jackson Howard, Preston Howard and Colson Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, DuBois Corsini; and a sister, Dana Betza.

<B>CORSINI</B> — Friends of John Corsini, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Eusebius Church, with the Rev. William M. Kuba, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the St. Eusebius Cemetery, Brady Township, Clarion County.A parish prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Knights of Columbus Council 8538 will provide a Fourth Degree Honor Guard Tuesday night at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to St. Eusebius Church, 301 E. Second St., East Brady, PA 16028.
